Don’t get me wrong, the food is good, atmosphere was great and the staff was excellent. I will say the quality, quantity, price matrix didn’t hit the mark for me personally. I would recommend going here for a good vibe and eclectic menu with artistic presentation. I don’t recommend going here if you are looking for a fulfilling meal.

Ambrose was a welcome surprise! With only 6 tables in a cozy, worldly inspired formal dining room the atmosphere was homey. Temperature, lighting and noise were at the perfect level to focus on your dinner companion and the food. And the food!! While it is a smaller, curated menu, every dish was expertly prepared. The flavors were robust and complimentary of eachother. The detail that went into each small dish was impressive. Their cocktail list was the same. A lot of care and thought went into their menu and even though everything was incredible, it had an unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere. Truly a hidden gem in Exeter (or maybe not so hidden but new to me.)
